OPEN TRYOUTS/AUDITIONS FOR CSz INDIANAPOLIS

It’s that time of year! We’re looking to add new faces to our roster of professional players at CSz Indianapolis and ComedySportz.

*Optional Drop-In Tryout Workshop/Audition Prep offered on Saturday, August 24th @ 10AM-12PM, lead by pro CSz Indianapolis players.

WHAT IS COMEDYSPORTZ?

It’s competitive improvisational comedy for all ages. CSz Indianapolis is one of over 25 cities worldwide with a professional ComedySportz team.

WHO CAN TRY OUT?

Tryouts are open to anyone over the age of 18, and no experience is required, though some improv and/or acting experience is recommended.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT TRYOUTS?

Due to the collaborative nature of improv, prospective players will warm up as a group and play multiple games together in the course of the tryouts. For this reason, prospective players are expected to be in attendance for the full tryout session.
Tryouts will begin promptly at the start time listed.

(Pro Tip: Parking’s a little tricky around Mass Ave; give yourself plenty of time to find a spot.)

WHEN ARE TRYOUTS/AUDITIONS?

Prospective players only need to attend one of the two try out dates.
Either:
Monday, August 26th at 7:00 PM
OR
Tuesday, August 27th at 7:00 PM

WHERE ARE TRYOUTS?

Tryouts will be hosted at our theatre, located at 721 Massachusetts Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46204.

CAN I BRING A FRIEND?

Sure!  They can join in, participate, and audition (as long as they’re 18+), but no spectators.

HOW LONG WILL THE TRYOUTS GO?

Expect at least 2 hours.  Time may vary based on the number of auditioners at your night of tryouts.

IF I GET IN, WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT?

For our new players, we have a 90-day probation period.  During that time frame, we want you at as many team practices as possible (Wednesday evenings) and at least one performance-night a week (Thursday, Friday, or Saturday).  From there, we arrange our weekly performances based on performer availability.
