WHAT IS A COMEDYSPORTZ MATCH LIKE?
WHO SHOULD I BRING TO COMEDYSPORTZ?
We recommend ages 4 – 104. ComedySportz is perfect for dates, celebrations, a night out on the town, or even quality time with the family. (Kids love it as much as grown-ups!) The audience of a typical ComedySportz match contains everyone from kids to college students to parents to grandparents. Everyone has a good time and no one gets offended. If a Player steps beyond the boundaries of good taste, the “Out of Bounds” foul will be called to set things straight. ComedySportz even works for tough-to-please business groups.
HOW LONG DOES A COMEDYSPORTZ MATCH LAST?
An average ComedySportz match lasts about 90 minutes
CAN I BOOK IN ADVANCE?
Yes! You may purchase seats for an upcoming match online or by calling the box office at (317) 951 – 8499. Subject to availability, you can also purchase seats at the door the night of the match. Door tickets go on sale 30 minutes before the start of the match, but the only way to guarantee seats is to buy online. If you’re interested in bringing a large group (10 or more), having at birthday party at a match, or want to book a private event, simply contact our Box Office at (317) 951 – 8499.
DO YOU GUYS TELL JOKES ABOUT SPORTS?
Nope! This is comedy played as a sport. We’re improvisers, so we make up scenes and songs on the spot based on your suggestions. If you suggest “soccer,” we’ll incorporate soccer into the scene, but if you suggest “Mitochondrion, the powerhouse of the cell” we’ll do a scene about that, too. The “Sportz” part of our name comes from the competitiveness – there are two teams who try to out-funny each other for votes from you, the Loyal Fans! There are points, a referee, even fouls… but as with all sports, there is only one winner.
IS FOOD AND / OR ALCOHOL SERVED?
Yes! We have a full food menu similar to what you’d find at a ballpark. From light snacks like popcorn and soft pretzels, to cheeseburgers and chicken sandwiches, we’ve got your hunger covered. We proudly serve Coke products from our fountain, and (more importantly?) we have a fine selection of domestic and craft beers, cider, and wine. Our nachos are the best deal on the Ave!
WILL I GET PICKED ON AT YOUR SHOW? CONVERSELY, CAN I HECKLE PERFORMERS?
No. This isn’t stand-up so heckling isn’t really our thing – instead we prefer to engage with you. A ComedySportz match is interactive – we ask for suggestions and occasionally volunteers – but we never force anyone to participate. Promise. Think of it more like theater than stand-up.

A lot like the old show “who’s line was it anyways”. The staff was very entertaining and courteous. There is PG show around 7:30pm. The adult show starts at 10 PM. They also were very well organized, and got the audience involves a lot! It was wonderful. Will be going back!”
