What is ComedySportz?
We don't tell jokes about sports. We play comedy like one.
ComedySportz is competitive improv comedy. Think Whose Line Is It Anyway?, live in Indianapolis, with points, fouls, a referee and a winner.
Our players make up scenes, games and songs on the spot from your suggestions. Shout out a job, a vacation spot or the weirdest thing in your fridge, and watch it turn into a scene nobody saw coming. The "Sportz" part is the competition: two teams trying to out-funny each other for your votes.
Every match is a brand-new game. New players, new games, new suggestions, zero scripts.

Inexpensive and clean fun! Our kids (10 & 13) enjoyed it as much as we did. They especially liked being able to vote for the winner of each round, and of course the snacks!
Very fun night watching local talent go head-to-head at improv. Check it out. Great choice for a date if you want to surprise someone with something new.
Really neat concept of having the two teams, but in the end the audience wins no matter what.
Took our 10 year old son to the family friendly show on Friday at 7:30. It was so nice to be able to enjoy the show and not worry about something "adult" being said.

When are ComedySportz shows in Indianapolis?
All-ages ComedySportz matches play Fridays at 7:30 PM and Saturdays at 5:30 PM at The Wit Theater. Check the ticket calendar for this week's matches and special events.
Is ComedySportz family-friendly?
Yes. We recommend it for ages 4 to 104, and kids love it as much as grown-ups. If a player steps beyond the bounds of good taste, the referee calls an "Out of Bounds" foul to set things straight.
How long does a ComedySportz match last?
A ComedySportz match runs 90 minutes.
Can I buy tickets in advance?
Yes. Buy online at tickets.cszindianapolis.com or call the box office at (317) 951-8499. Door tickets go on sale 30 minutes before the match, subject to availability, but buying online is the only way to guarantee your seats.
Will I get picked on? Can I heckle?
No and no. This isn't stand-up, so heckling isn't our thing. We ask for suggestions and occasionally volunteers, but we never force anyone to participate. Promise.
Is food and alcohol served?
Yes. We partner with LaRocca's Pizza for made-to-order pizza, hot subs and wings, plus popcorn, nachos and soft pretzels. The bar has draft and craft beer, wine, cider, seltzers, cocktails and mocktails. You can pre-order online and pick your showtime, so food is ready when the match starts. See the food & drink menu.
