Say yes to a class. Here's what comes with it.
People sign up to try something fun. They keep coming back because of how it changes the rest of their week.
Yes, and you'll walk into rooms differently.
Every scene is a small risk that turns out fine. Stack enough of those and meetings, dates, and auditions get a lot less scary.
Yes, and you'll stop dreading the mic.
Improv is public speaking without a script. After a few weeks of it, a prepared presentation feels easy.
Yes, and you'll trust your first idea.
Learn to respond in the moment instead of rehearsing in your head. Handy in interviews, sales calls, and parenting.
Yes, and you'll actually hear people.
Great scenes come from paying attention to your partner. You'll notice more and connect faster with everyone around you.
Yes, and you'll leave with new friends.
Classes are full of curious, supportive people from all walks of life. It's a great way to network and meet your people.
Yes, and you'll laugh until it hurts.
A few hours where your only job is to play. You'll gain real insight into what's funny and why, and have a great time doing it.
The reasons people almost don't sign up
We hear these all the time. Here's the truth.
I'm not funny.
You don't have to be. The laughs in improv come from honest reactions and good listening, not from jokes. Being yourself is the whole trick.
I've never been on stage.
That's exactly who beginning classes are for. Classes start from the very beginning and build in a clear, organized sequence. Nobody gets thrown in the deep end.
I'm too shy for this.
Shy people often make great improvisers. They listen well. Class is a safe, supportive space where everyone is trying something new together.
I'm too old to start.
We welcome anyone, regardless of age or experience. It's never too late to try something new, and you'll be learning alongside people at every stage of life.
Improv isn't about being funny. It's about being you.
