Indianapolis improv classes

THE WIT SCHOOL OF IMPROV

New to improv? You’re in the right place. At CSz Indianapolis, named one of the top improv comedy schools in the country by Paste Magazine, you’ll find a friendly, low-pressure environment built for beginners. No experience, no performing background, and no “funny bone” required, just a willingness to show up and play. Our classes help you think faster on your feet, build real confidence, sharpen communication skills you’ll use everywhere, and meet a whole community of people who are cheering for you to succeed.

We have five class sessions a year – January, March, May, July, and September – 7 Weeks each.

CURRENT IMPROV TRAINING, CLASSES, AND WORKSHOPS AVAILABLE

Everyone starts with Improv 101: Introduction to Improv.

From there, you can choose your path forward.

You can follow our Short Form Improv Path, focused on games-based improv, culminating with our Art of ComedySportz class which teaches you how to play ComedySportz as an ensemble and provides two Rec League-style matches open to the public.

You can follow our Long Form Improv Path, focused on story-based improv, culminating with our Longform Ensemble Play class which teaches you how to put together a longform ensemble team, where you may be offered ongoing stage time to perform at The Wit Theater.

And once you’ve completed one track, you’re welcome to start the other track to continue your improv education and to develop your performance skills.

We have five class sessions a year – January, March, May, July, and September – 7 Weeks each.
