NEW CSz INDIANAPOLIS HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE DIRECTOR

CSz Indianapolis-Home of ComedySportz, the longest running show in Indianapolis, is welcoming a new head of their High School League program, Eric Marquis. He assumes the role in time for the 2019-2020 school year.

Marquis is familiar with CSz Worldwide, their training programs, ComedySportz, and CSz Indianapolis. For 4 years, Marquis was a member of the professional ComedySportz roster in Michigan with CSz Detroit. While there, he acted as coach for the group’s Minor League Team. In the summer of 2018, Marquis relocated to Indianapolis and was welcomed as part of the CSz Indianapolis team. Marquis graduated from Carthage College with a BA in communication in 2014.

CSz Indianapolis and ComedySportz have offered their High School League to teenagers in the greater Indianapolis area since 2002. Through the High School League, students in area high schools are taught the basics of improvisation, performance games, ComedySportz format, and beyond. Then, as in other organized sports, schools compete against one another in officially sanctioned ComedySportz matches in the spring semester. Past directors have included Eryn Fraley, Claire Wilcher, and CSz Indianapolis’s current Director of Education, Edward Trout.

In Indianapolis, Trout was the first High School League Director. “I have been very proud of the growth in the High School League program, and the positive effect it has had on young lives over the years,” Trout said. “I look forward to seeing Eric put his own brand of leadership on the program.”

Marquis is energized and ready to leading CSz Indianapolis’s long-standing, transformative program for teens in the greater Indianapolis area. “Improv is such a great gift in life, and I’m excited to play a larger role in helping the high schoolers discover and develop it,” Marquis said.
